F8F Bearcat vs YAK-9 fighters by Rafe15 F8F Bearcat vs YAK-9 fighters by Rafe15
A united states navy F8F Bearcat naval carrier based fighter flies away after knocking down one of several North Korean Peoples Airforce YAK-9 Fighters. its possible that one or two of the North korean YAK fighters may break away from their formation to engage the American fighter, but currently they are staying in formation, at least in this image. the USN Bearcat wears a type of camouflage based off of the flying tigers camo used on American volunteer air group P-40 tomahawk fighters and actually bearcats were never camouflaged, at least to my knowledge, but since this is my image and the bearcat in the image is my model, i can do what I want. The Yak-9 fighters are actually just one model, including the one plunging earthward on fire. the camouflage scheme on the north Korean YAK-9 fighter is a camouflage based on that used on Russian YAK-9 fighters during World war 2, considering the YAK-9 is a veteran of that war. My first photography image on here of planes during a 50s conflict, even though the F8F Bearcat was phased out of service before Korea
